Martindale Voltage Tester Recall

Martindale Electric have issued a product recall of their Drummond voltage tester test lamp models MTL10/15/20/20B Mk3.

Date: 20th September 2024
Risk Type: Electric Shock
Sales Period: 2023 onwards.

Risk Description: The affected models present a risk of electric shock because of an intermittent
indication fault. The intermittent fault could have serious safety implications if the product is used to prove circuits are dead, and lead to electric shocks.

This product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

This recall includes:

  • MTL10 S – No 309xxxxxxx-317xxxxxxx
  • MTL15 S – No 309xxxxxxx-315xxxxxxx
  • MTL20 S – No 313xxxxxxx-314xxxxxxx
  • MTL20B S – No 314xxxxxxx

Mk2 Models with serial numbers lower than those above are not affected. Some Mk2 models were still being shipped into 2024, so it is important to check the serial numbers.
